I spent some time with Pocorn Sutton a few weeks ago. Had a great lunch and we talked about his ways of making whiskey. Bought his dvd even though I had his tape. New book will be out in a few months. He isn't well and one pill he takes is over $1000.00 amonth ( I saw the package and bill) I'm the pretty one on the left if you are confussed.[/img]

Is this a free alcohol wedding?

It is most absurdly said, in popular language, of any man, that he is disguised in liquor; for, on the contrary, most men are disguised by sobriety. ~Thomas de Quincy, Confessions of an English Opium-Eater, 1856

Slightly different note, someone with cronic pain in florida was convicted of trafficing even though they didn't have any evidence he was doing anything other then getting medication for his own problem, they offered him no time in jail if he plead guilty.goose eye wrote:they all been caught
Long story short they convicted and jailed him for 4 years or something, and now he has all the drugs he could ever need all paid for by the US govt, before he was paying for them out of his own pocket...
While I probably wouldn't recommend it, I guess it's an option for free medicine if you don't have the money/insurance to cover you other wise.

And they do the laundry, cook the meals, wash the dishes, pay for everything. Where do I sign up?Home Distiller wrote:Slightly different note, someone with cronic pain in florida was convicted of trafficing even though they didn't have any evidence he was doing anything other then getting medication for his own problem, they offered him no time in jail if he plead guilty.goose eye wrote:they all been caught

Here's the latest from todays appearance for the preliminary hearing.
"GREENEVILLE — Famed moonshiner Popcorn Sutton left jail today but could return next month.
Popcorn, whose real name is Marvin Sutton, posted $20,000 bond this morning and waived a preliminary hearing in U.S. District Court on charges of moonshining and possession of a gun by a convicted felon.
He’s agreed to plead guilty Thursday and will waive an indictment by a federal grand jury, court records show. The records don’t spell out the exact terms of the plea agreement.
Sutton must wear an electronic monitoring bracelet until then, submit to drug testing, avoid drinking alcohol and allow searches of his home and property at any time by federal authorities.
Sutton, 61, of Parrottsville, has promoted himself for more than 30 years as the king of ridge-runners, starring in documentaries and writing a memoir, “Me and My Likker.” His last federal charges came in the 1970s, and his most recent state charges last year when a still exploded on his property.
Agents with the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives popped Sutton on March 13 after he sold an undercover agent about 300 gallons of untaxed whiskey and agreed to sell another 500 gallons, ATF Agent Gregory Moore wrote in an affidavit. A raid on Sutton’s property uncovered three 1,000-gallon stills, more than 850 gallons of white lightning and hundreds of gallons of sour mash and other moonshine ingredients, authorities said.
More details as they develop online and in Saturday’s News Sentinel."[/b]
