Costs

I'm really wanting to convert all my auto's to ethanol but in my testing on my still I can't get the cost down anywhere near what gasoline costs.

Does anyone have a method for getting costs to what gasoline is or lower?

If you want it quick go to milehigh and get the Beast. It was pretty much designed as a show up in the mail gas station. The free standing column they have should rival the charles 803. The point is you don't care about taste so make a deal with the local bakery and produce stand, and invest in some wine balance kits and supplies........What i'm saying is make it for 80 cents out of garbage.

Gas is $3.25 here so a buck and six bits is a damn good price even.
(we have V500 motors in 4 wheel drives) $60 and up to fill up.

Here. Skip the spendy zeolite too. Says you can use corn grits for 85 cycles or more. about 600# in a flow through tank or bed should get you plenty dry to blend into E85.

Does that 80 cents a gallon factor in the cost of the fuel used to distill? Either the cost of electric or propane?

If you are switching vehicles to run on EtOH, skip the drying, and TOTALLY skip the joke of E85. Just tun it for 165 to 180 proof (82 to 90 % ABV). Ethanol that strong, with the water left in will burn fine (actually better than E85). The only issue "could" be need to add a little lubrication to the fuel. NOTE if you are going to run straight undried ethanol, then you can NOT mix gas into it, as it will separate. Thus you will have to start with a dry tank, or run a 2 tank system, so that you can hit the fuel pumps if traveling out of range of what you can carry with you (or if you take a break or have problems producing fuel).
