Every year on this day the initial report I heard on our local small town radio creeps back into my head. Went to work and we all set around the radio until lunch. Went to a local bar and saw the footage on the tube. Told my crew to take the rest of the day off. I still tear up thinking about that footage. Never Forget.

Hi, I wont forget that day either, saw the first one crash into the tower and said to people/family, that tower is going to collapse, too much heat involved and everyone above is now trapped. but i could not see any reason for that plane to strike the tower, visibility was 100%. had to be a suicidal pilot. broke my heart seeing people jumping to get away from fire/smoke and then i heard on phone that another tower had been hit in the same way, my heart was in my boots
my thoughts are with everyone who lost someone that day
its not forgotten from this side of the atlantic for sure

President Bush was in town that day talking to some students at a school. I was there and I watched a man walk up and whisper something in the presidents ear. The look on his face told the story. He allowed the student to finish talking then announced that he had to leave for an emergency. His procession made a bee line for the airport as fast as they could drive. We all figured something was up so we turned on radios and TV's to learn what had happened. Life in the USA hasn't been the same since.

Was in Jacksonville Florida on a large project. Woke up to the second plane hitting the tower on TV. 900 miles from my family and our country under attack was an eery feeling. Shut the project down and came home until it was all over. I'll never forget!

I don't care about it anymore. ~2996 people died. Lets this into perspective.
http://www.worldlifeexpectancy.com/usa- ... and-gender
Compare the stactical annomolie of 2996 fatalities to the 171,000 annual deaths from heart disease.
And the cost?
A report from Brown University's Costs of War project, figured that total fincial cost of our wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan is at least $3.2-4 trillion!!! Thats $3,200,000,000,000 - $4,000,000,000,000.00 dollars because of that! to put it another way means we have spent ~3,500,000,000 per person who died that day. Fuck, we could give the families of everybody who died from heart disease that same year $2-3 million!
3.2 trillion could fund a lot of heart disease, cancer, parkinson, and a.l.s. research to save far more lives.
Just my 2cents.

I watched it all unfold fairly live on CNN news as I was getting ready for work that morning... As soon as the first plane hit I assumed someone had decided to retaliate for the worldwide arrogance that the US had been displaying for far too long... The plane hitting the second tower confirmed that notion... I don't know if we've honestly learned anything from the experience to this day... We don't run this planet... Our purpose isn't to police this planet... The rest of the planet isn't here for our amusement or to serve our beckon call... If we could humble ourselves rather than strutting about like overly proud and confident Banty Roosters we'd be further ahead... It's time to get over it and ourselves... Just sayin...

Yeah, and as soon as someone is cured of heart disease, cancer, parkinsons, or a.l.s. they get blown the fuck up by some crazy sumbitch who thinks they are getting 70 virgins when he dies. Makes sense to me! If you don't like the way we handle terrorists in this country, maybe you should move to Iraq, Afghaniststan or Pakistan, might change your views a bit. Money doesn't mean a damn thing without freedom.
I bet Obamycare is right up your ally too!
