Pot size?

I searched but can't find this answer anywhere.

I have the option of making either a 7 gallon pot orca 16 gallon pot. I'm going to be fermenting in 6 gallons buckets, so I'm guessing my washes will be about 5 gallons.

Which pot am I better of using? I don't know if threw a technical reason why I should go with one over the other. For what it's worth ultimately I would like to do bigger batches in due time.
