I am going to check this distillery out at the end of the month as they have won a lot of awards. In looking at their website they claim to be the only distillery in the US that it is legal to make your own whiskey, vodka, or gin. Interesting sales gimmick.

Let us know how it goes Bushman. Looks like they'er running a bunch of Hillbilly flutes for their stills. I was passing through Aberdeen the other day and stopped at a By-mart, the first I've seen in this state but any how on the shelf behind the checkout there was a bunch of samplers of likker one was Vodka from the local distillery, Wiskah River distillery. So for 5 bucks I grabbed 2 and when the better half opend one she said this smells exactly like your early stuff that she didn't like very much and sure enough it is a dead ringer, the smell and taste are exactly like some of my stuff. I kind of like the flavor but the other half she likes the stuff that I make now a lot better. Just an interesting little tid bit.

Back at the Condo, going to the Distillery on Tuesday so will give an update. OMD, I brought a bottle that I had aging close to 2 years with me. You had a sample of what I made last time when I was down at the canal, but I've got to say this is by far the smoothest stuff I've made to date and will put it up against any 10 year + aged whiskey on the market. My wife actually had a glass and bowed to me in approval of the product.

Back at the condo Bushman, Maybe we can hook up again, I actually have some stuff that I have had on Oak for almost 2 months

but last night we just couldn't wait and tried just a little sip. It's pretty good stuff, something that I'm proud of and would be happy to share. It will, I hope get even better with time but it is pretty good right now.

It was very good along with all their products. I will try and download pictures in a little while but here is what they do with their Apple Whiskey (Apple Pie) which is bottled at 60 proof/30%. They either serve it like we would or they offer it as an after dinner drink which was really good. Here is what they do. They take small glasses/shot glasses and they dip the rim of the glass in a product they make or have specially made for them called Whiskey Caramel made from the following ingriedients according to their bottle.
Sugar, cream, White Wheat Whiskey, Glucose, Butter, & Sea Salt. They then put the glass in the freezer so the caramel does not run down the sides. When they are ready to serve they take out of the freezer and pour in the Apple Whiskey.
Further update on the distillery a bit later.
