I've removed the coiled spring keeper, turned the valve so the tabs line up with the notches and the dang thing will NOT come out ! I can wiggle it so it's not jammed and tried to pry it up with a screwdriver to no avail. Any secrets to this? It's a 15 gal. Anhueser Busch .

It has to come out. Keep trying don't give up.

It's weird, I can move it like it's loose in there but when I try to lift it up it hits something solid like there is still some thing holding it in.

they usually lift right out if everything is lined up. removed several never had a problem

try turning it 180 counterclockwise some have threads in them

lift and turn, theres tabs that need to line up.....then hit it with your purse.

fill your purse with rocks first

line the tabs up and turn it upside down and drop it. If that done work turn it upside down and turn it and pull. If that don't work and the purse don't work kick it with your high heels.

You guys are all crazy. NEVER hit a still with a purse, it might dent the still and cause a vapor flow disruption that would cause off flavors for the rest of the life of the still.

Try turning the spear 180° more, changing the tab/slot relationship.

Try bending a hook in a straightened clothes hangar (metal, cuz the plastic ones won't bend for shite), and put it down the spear, then lift up on it from the bottom as you work the top to lift it out.

Ah...but.... until he gets that damned spear out it is only a keg and a keg is open season for purse sacking. Also, considering he can't get the spear out do you really think he'll be able to dent it with his purse??

line the tabs up and set it in the sun upside down. do you have a vacume in the keg?

What color socks are you wearing?

I have had similar problems with Tooheys kegs ( Australian)
After getting frustrated I grabbed a pinch bar ( claw bar crow bar)
And gave it some. Muscle. Small tabs on spear easily bent and spear came free.
I have done this a couple times since also with success.
Didn't even damage the thread in the top.

There is no vacuum, tabs are lined up, it won't turn any farther than it has which lines up the tabs with the notches, and I aint hitting nothing with my purse ( It's a Chanel ) oh yea ,and my socks are white.

Try turning it slowly while pulling up on it, like cracking a safe, might find your just missing the sweet spot.

The last one I removed was a bitch too. Be persistent, it will come out.

The only thin that should be done is release the pressure on the keg. If you take a large wrench out of the pocket book and release pressure with that. All have come out as easy as the video. Do you have threads on your keg?

Can you give us a pic of the valve? There are many designs out there. Some look the same but are not. Some have a hidden keeper. That needs to be released. Some just get stuck.

I have a smaller standard screw driver that I bent the tip over on. I use it to pry and pull them up.

The hand bag needs to be pink. Or it will not work.

Piss you have him off looking for his pink hand bag. It doesn't have to be pink your purple one will do.

don't be messin up the chanel, an extra small dupont lure should loosen it right up.

Eureka ! I got it out ! I made a puller out of a flat washer , a bolt and a 2X4. I guess the O ring had gotten hard and was causing it to jam.

After several taps with your purse??
