Fermenting issue... Please help
I have my first wash fermenting currently. I should say first of all that I am new to this and this recipe was provided from a local guy I know that has tried it many times. It is a simple dextrose wash. I used around qq lbs of dextrose to 5 gallons of water and used an entire pack of turbo. I pitched at around 72 degrees F. After a few hours the bubbles were extremely active with all kids on bubbling. I have it fermenting in a 6 gallon glass carboy. This was Friday mid day and now (Sunday morning) it is only bubbling about every 20 seconds. It is in a dark space at room temperature (70 degrees F). I also have now wrapped a blanket around it. Have I lost this batch or is this typical? Thanks.

Its almost done. Let it settle out a few more days and run it.

In theory there's no difference between theory and practice. But in practice there is.

People here are going to rake you over the coals for using that turbo.
As for your question, I would think that it's almost done. You can get a hydrometer that will let you take readings on how much alcohol you have in your mash/wash, that's really the only way to know for sure. I'd let it sit for a full week from when you started it and then run it.

You did well . You have a great wash almost ready for cleaning runs when you get to that point . Then you can finish the mandatory reading required here about what I just said . I'm not flaming you in the least , friend . You just need to spend a bit more time here and gain a better understanding of what the hobby is and what it tales to reach that goal .
