Ready to run

Many like to post about a first successful ferment (or first all grain mash), or first still built/bought or first good run of the still. Tell us about all of these great times here.

Ready to run

Post by snooka »

Hi, i have been lurking around here for a year now reading and reading and just about ready to make a run. I have a 8 gallon pot still with a 2x20 inch column with a 24x1 inch liebig condenser that i polished and added a temp guage. I know that i don't need it but i like the bling (lol) and i think it tell me when things are about happen. I also built an element controller that worked flawlessly, i will post pics. I have made a water and vinegar cleaning run and need to make a sac run. I just want to make a simple sugar run so that i can pratice making cuts and then get some panella, i have read that panella makes a very good rum, Anyone have any good recipes with panella? I have learned alot here and still learning everyday, just thought i would check in. Tell me what you think.
