Figrapearandy

Post by partsbill »

I decided to start a fruit type brandy and being that I have generous neighbors, I used their fruit. One had pears; another had figs. There is also wild grapes that grow between one of my neighbors and me. So their you have it. Fig grape pear brandy= FIGRAPEARANDY Cooked 10 gallons of chopped pears and added them to 5 gallons of smushed figs and @2 gallons of smushed grapes. Added 12oz of molassas( I love this stuff) and about a teaspoon of bread yeast. Right now its bubbling away. I'm adding about 1 gallon of figs a day and will for the next week or so. And probably another 5 gals of pears as well. I'll probably let it ferment for a couple of weeks since the pears are still rather hard and go from there.
