Fruit wash question

I have been a rum and vodka distiller for a few years now thanks to everyone here. Now I find my self with a bunch of pears.. i was thinking of a pear vodka, or jsut a pear flavored whatever comes out of the pot still. My question is do i need to Sanitize the pears some how? I don't have a mill or a grinding stone or anything, shuold i just cut them up and boil the crap out of it.. then add sugar to get my potential to 10=15%?

then do it like normal?

Any advice is helpfull.
