maybe new idea for flavoring neutals

The wife has a vegetable/rice steamer and I noticed that it has a catch tray in the bottom. I'm thinking why not fill full of desired flavorings (fruit, orange zest, etc) sprinkle with some sugar then when finished cycle add catch tray drippings to high proof neutral. Get all the flavor plus the water has also been distilled so it will cut to desired strength. Win win. Will try it out in a couple of days when I get home and post the results for anyone that is interested. Thinking a strawberry rhubarb neutral to start.
