Still Material Saftey Requirements or Research

Firstly I am in no way shape or form trying to go against the rules we live by. Just trying to prove a point to someone else the need for such rules.

Is there any type of industry requirements (ASTM Osha UL EPA FDA TTB etc) that applies to the types of material used in the manufacture of distillation equipment. Or to any equimpent used in the manufacture of alcohol, not including bottling materials, that is pretty easy to find. Or do any of you happen to have any refrences to documented research on the same subject. I need something pretty specific, not one of those sites that shows chemical compatability between materials. Im looking for beverage ethanol distillation specific stuff only.

I know the rules, and understand the why, Im just trying to convince an aquaintance of mine who is thick headed and somewhat common sensly challenged that his aluminum pressure cooker with rubber gasket is unsafe. His argument is until you can show me documented proof that it is unsafe Im not changing it. Ive done it this way for years and it has worked fine for me.

I know if he is too stupid to listen to me and I even pointed him to here and the 20,000+ members who all agree to not using synthetics, and he argues that there is still not real hard documented exact proof. I should just let natural selection continue and something is bound to catch up and "select" him. But it has gotten to the point that it is personal and I just want something online or on paper that I can show him and prove to him that he is wrong.
