Steam distilling on the grain

The idea is to use a keg laying on its side with rollers so it can be rotated to fill and empty it.
Basically use it as a big thumper full of fermented grain and use steam to boil off the alcohol.

Update.
The owner uses it occasionally for making steam Bourbon.
This was built on a stand so it could empty into a small wheel barrel.
It was necessary to weld a 6" ferrel to the end of the keg, to get a hand inside for cleaning.

That's interesting shady, I so wish I had the room to be more creative with stuff like this.

In the UK we get "Real Ale" kegs with a hole already dead centre in the side wall, it's like they want me to use one!
