I have made a 50 litre wash of 10kg dark brown sugar and 5 litres of molasses with some 1118 yeast. Its fermenting wonderfully.
So, I wanted to ask your opinions on whether to run it through my reflux still as either A: a pot still with just a tiny amount of packing or B: reflux and collect much deeper into the tails (94oC seems to be a repeated figure).
I want a rich dark rum flavour. Any opinions welcomed.
