Second condenser issues!
I built a Bokakob 2" column still about a year ago... took some time getting me a heat source to my boiler, but shortly after getting it up and running I realized that a second condenser was going to be needed! I build one... Perhaps a bit over kill on size... and was quite pleased with the results. However with the added weight and lack of planning for said weight, my soldered output joint just couldn't hold the weight with my make shift bracing! With that being said, I've been wanting to make a new head similar or if not completely like http://homedistiller.org/forum/viewtopi ... =17&t=5829 . With that being said I'm having some inventors block on how to construct or modify my second condenser to work with a two part (packed column / still head) build. I don't want a repeat of the weight breaking my solder joint! any pics or ideas would be paramount to my new build!

I am a visual person can you first post pictures of your set-up then we might be able to give the simplest and best solution to your problem.

I used to use T500 boiler with a 2" dia 60" packed column LM VM combo with dual leigbergs ( one for LM and one for VM ) and was scared I would crush the boiler ( if I thought I could keep it up right)
So I attached the column to the wall and made a jack stand to lift the boiler into place

What goes up must come down, but a condenser helps

I still in the shed and right above the still is a rafter, SS rod and chain with a turnbuckle. Once I have the keg charged and still attached, I reach up and tighten the turnbuckle to lift the excess weight up just a bit off the keg.
My still is a 42 inch Nixon stone with dual water controls for the coil and liebig and is quite heavy.
Once the run is over, I disconnect the keg/still and slide the still over away from the keg, still hanging from the SS rod.
There is sits until the next run. Only thing I cut loose is the clamp on the keg.
I don't know if you can build such an arrangement but it works very well for me.
