Well, made it through another day.......

Post by Fermented1 »

Well made it through another day at the "Salt mines" as it were. I hate working retail this time of year. Dealing with rude, messy, pushy customers, and
their uncontrolled, unruly, kids. Dealing with all the freight coming in for Black Friday, and Christmas, the freight is pilling up in the back binning area,
it just more chaotic than normal, and messy. Ok venting done, and my drink is kicking in. Hell to the YA.
Here is to LIFE, Liberty, and the pursuit of the PERFECT BATCH !!!!

Today I located, fell, yarded with my truck, cut, split, loaded, advertised, delivered, unloaded, then stacked 2 cords of Tamarack for $450. Left home at 8 am and got home at 3pm. Doing it again tomorrow, and the next day...ect

Shot 2 grouse in the bag, and saw a mamma moose with her baby on my way to cut this morning. Awesome day in the woods.

Guess how long it took me after getting home before cracking into my homemade and homegrown goodies?

Yesterday was one good reason I went electric. We had wind gusts up to 50 mph. I did my Pomace run inside the outbuilding (so nice).

My father who was born in 58' was right there with me. However, I am the only one who runs the wire and maul... Plus it's part time.

We run into a 61 year old man who cuts 2 cords a day by himself for a sole source of income  I wouldn't want to get in a fight with the guy... Been to his house, and it's a really nice place. He supports a non producing 99 acre ranch and a wife half his age swinging a maul.
