Here's to you as good as you are, and here's to me as bad as I am.
But as good as you are, and as bad as I am,
I'm as good as you are as bad as I am.

This isn't a toast, it's a Supper Grace, but I think it's funny.
My great uncle found out he had oil on his property soon after WW2 ended. He was the first one to have two coins to rub together in my family after the Civil War. His wife took adavantage of the situation to try and move up in Society, which my great uncle hated.
The evenin' the Governor and his wife (Mississippi) came over for supper he sank any hopes of social climbin' by sayin' this Grace: Bless the Meat/ Damn the Skin/ Back yer Ears/ Dive in/ Amen.
Susposedly it was a short, quiet supper. Heh.

Here's an old Irish toast for you:
Let the grasses grow and the waters flow
In a free and easy way
But give me enough of that rare old stuff
That's made near Galway Bay

Another ol' Irish Toast for the New Years. May I lift me glass to all and say,
"May the upcomming New Year bring ye problems as few and far between as ye Grandma's Teeth."
Vino es Veritas,
Jim.
