LMAO @ Alabama State Troopers using Pitbulls as security dogs.

Yep. I think the 2nd vid they show a different angle. The Auburn players hand just sort of swiped right in front of the dogs face as the player turned to run the other way...and the dog just reached out and got a mouthful. (and hung on). The guy literally had to pull his hand out of the dogs mouth.

I would just guess that's "not" a good security dog that just reaches out and bites whatever gets near him without instruction to do so. And I hope the poor guy that got bit is ok. But, you know...that there, was just damn funny too.

On the news last night someone skinned a beagle alive(from scruff of neck to the Hind legs) and the law is looking for them, also last nights news a 8 yr old girl was attacked by 5 pits she is critical.

It's common knowledge that Pit Bulls prefer children as their main course, as this photo of part of my family shows:

A long time ago a very close friend of mine's 2 year old son was killed by dogs. He was accidentally left alone outside by an older sibling, for about three minutes, and in that short time a pack of about 5 dogs (fed by a neighbor) showed up. They had never before shown any indication of hostility. Sean apparently ran from the dogs and that triggered some kind of reflex in the dogs and they attacked. He died in his fathers arms moments later. It was a tragedy beyond description, and beyond gruesome the shape he was in. Although this was over 20 years ago I get major depressed when I think about it to this day.

Those dogs were more or less ordinary mutts. As far as I know there were no pit bulls among them. It seems that dogs of all kinds have a built in hard wired instinct to attack when the right set of circumstances are encountered. I have even seen it in tiny dogs. Primordial hunting instinct I guess. Always be careful of dogs and little children.

Damn it, I'm going to have a drink now, or more.

When I was in high school, a friend and I had to rescue a 10 year old girl from a pack of dogs. They were all standard mutts from average suburban homes, none of them were regarded as problem dogs, or dangerous breeds. But they were not been restrained properly and had formed a pack, their own little day gang, and to them it was just a game. She was damn lucky we came past, and she got away with *only* a couple serious bites on her lower legs. Fortunately we don't have to worry about rabies here, but still, a very nasty experience.

Thirty years later it is still happening in my area, a young mother with a baby in a stroller was badly mauled on her own property last year, and she had to be hospitalised.

I blame the owners entirely. The dogs are just doing what instinct tells 'em to.

I believe that these were dogs running wild in the city of Birmmmingham, but not sure. Hell it may not even benn pits.

I have a cure for wild dogs on my land ... it has two long tubes on it, and is stamped Remington.

When I was 8 years old we lived in the Arizona desert, about 40 miles from Phoenix. We lived in a small community of about 50 homes, surrounded by miles and miles of desert. People from Phoenix would bring domestic dogs out there and turn them loose to get rid of them.

The dogs that did not get adopted by the 50 or so households, went feral and ran in packs. There were packs of up to 15 from accounts I have heard. My older brother was out hunting and came across a pack, they started to attack him, but stopped and ran off after he shot a couple.

From then on it was shoot the feral dogs on sight, which they quickly figured out and went mostly nocturnal.

Alabama / Auburn football game.

LOL!! It's okay, stoker...it's US football stuff...Auburn beat Alabama for the sixth straight year, first time it's ever happened in the seventy-some-odd meetings (Alabama once won 9 in a row, if'n anybody's counting...).

It's one of, if not THE biggest, rivalry in college football over here (it's even got it's own name: the Iron Bowl--so named because for years it was played in "neutral" Birmingham, a steel-making city. First bowl game every year!!! LOL!)

Well we ended up with a winning season Sabination Lives!

Yep, right here in Shreveport, they put the whompin' on them buffalo people...thank God!!! A local writer even mentioned John Parker in the same breath as Nameth and Stabler (?...not so sure a about THAT one...)

Unfortunately, the LSU arseholes around here were a bit less than hospitable, around the edges.
