Good afternoon everyone.

So I am upgrading my equipment. Moving to a 15 gallon pot( brew pot) and to a lieburg condesnor.

I was hoping to go 2 inch copper all the way to the lieburg but am having a hard time sourcing it. Have found only 2 plumbing supply stores here that can get it, and its only in 12 ft lengths. So I would be spending 140$ on just that pipe alone, not including the fittings, reducers, ect.

Is there a supply company here that ships to Canada that is reccomended?

Also if there is a more efficient setup I am open to the suggestion. It is gas fired BTW.

Column was going to be 4 feet with a capped t at the top finstead of just a 90 fitting so that I can add apt later if necessary. Any and all thoughts are appreciated.

And yes I know a keg would work better and easier for the whole setup. However I do not have the ability to buy one here where I am in Canada and do not have a passport to cross the border either.

Anyways I humbly await your advice and guidance.

I dont have a car so i buy everything online...... Plumbingsupply and supply house generally have every thing u need..... Dont know bout canada shipping, but shouldnt be a prob....

Try EBay. I just saw an ad where a guy was selling 2" for $14.50 per foot. The seller is schnappstills, has good feedback ratings. Not sure if it will work for you, but my buddy was able to buy his kegs from a small burger joint in town. The owner sells him his kegs for $30 each whenever he needs one for home brewing. I'm gonna get two next month. Apparently that's all the distributors charge for the deposit in my area. Might be worth a shot in your area.

I'd be cheaper to by the 12 footer here in the long run if that's the price ool. And here in Ontario they won't dream of it because of the fines for not returning the kegs (gov't regulated).

I'm still thinking abut asking a buddy to bring one back for me from a party warehouse in the states since he works over there.

Bummer. Didn't know it was regulated by the government. They've got their nose in everyone's business no matter where you are.

We don't consider forfeiting of a keg deposit to be legal procurement... That burger joint owner isn't the legal owner of the keg so he is stealing from the distributor... We have several topics about legal procurement... Don't be part of the thieving habit that is the scourge of the beer industry...

Yup. And its highly enforced here in Ontario. On a related note I was able to barter for the copper pipe and fittings I needed for my lieburg with a buddy who is a plumber * slaps for head* duhh.... Never thought to ask him lol.

Will be posting design pics and dimensions later for tweaking and inspection later tonight or tomorrow.

Had to dismantle and put away my setup as the outlaws arrive from out of province today and don't want them to know about my hobby.

I've had great luck with supplyhouse.com. Fair prices and supper fast delivery.

I actually was given a keg as a late Christmas present. Santa loved me this Christmas. But now I know where to get my thumper so hell yes. Now I just need to buy a tryclamp for the keg to my new two inch column. Time for more reading!

Now that you have a keg, I cannot stress enough- what do you think about going electric? It's awesome. Slap a water heater element on there, with a controller, and keep yo' ass warm and dry.

I have thought about it, and it def has its advantages. I have a few questions if there is anyone who has run both if I can PM them that would be great...
