Quick Question: How to connect to 1/4"OD tubing from Condenser Coil?

I am completing my build of a Stone-Nixon Head with a great coil from one of our members. My Pot still's cooling line are 1/2 inch tubing pushed onto a garden hose connector. I'd appreciate anyone's experience in connecting to the new coil's 1/4"OD tubing?

1. Is there a way to attach a male garden hose connector to the 1/4"OD tubing?
2. I could pull the 1/2" hose off the existing garden hose connector and push it onto the 1/4"OD coil tubing -- maybe using a hose clamp to squeeze it. (I'd really like a more modular setup.)

I know some one of you probably have a ready answer for this question. Thanks!
