We just got a new Cuisinart coffe maker and it has charcoal filters for the water. I can get a pack of 12 for 10$@ amazon. Same thing as activated charcoal right? And would be cheaper! I can filter spirits with these?

Probably could if you made spirits that needed it. Depends if there is plastics or other unsafe materials in the filters though. Water is a lot less how you say "solvent" then ageing and above proof likker.

They do make our coffee taste better I noticed. I was just wondering, I do pride myself on my cuts .No complaints, spirit as clear as a washed new window. I will tear the old one open just to see whats in there. Never used activated carbon, we have extra and if it would make it taste even better, why not.Thx for the reply!

you could try shoving a couple of them suckers in a copper or ss pipe and pour ur likker on through
