What is ideal sugar start?

I have some ferments waiting for yeast at 1.020, 1.030, and 1.060.
Assuming I have the right nutrients also, how much sugar is too much! What should I get my initial reading to be with EC1118 yeast? Thanks in advance.

I like 1.060 -1.080 for a sugarhead. Some go higher.

I like 1.06 or lower. When using less sugar, the yield decreases but the quality goes up

so far I have gone as high as 1.080 with 1118 to no ill effect. Yes it is greed and yes it is risking off flavours but it is also experimenting and for my enjoyment. My next sugar wash will be 1.090, I am anticipating little or no off flavours with it as well although I think that will be as high as I go.
this is assuming you are refluxing, straight sugar wash in a pot still just doesn't make sense to me.

are we talking straight sugar wash or sugar head like UJ? Big difference
