Hop oils may foul up your still, just something to think about.

+1.... I wouldn't run it. Not worth fouling up your rig with the hop oils and then having to spend the extra time cleaning the hell out of everything. You'll find more people telling you not to run it than you will encouraging you to do so. If you put a dollar value on your time spent cleaning (and probably doing a few cleaning runs to get the hop oils out thoroughly), you'd be money and time ahead to make a run of something else. Just my 2 cents worth.

I heard from a guy who heard from a guy who herd from a guy who read somewhere that somebody heard from a guy that hop oil from distilling beer would mess up his still.

I also have first hand experience with distilling a scorched 10 gallon batch of Denny's Rye Smile. After the pot still strip run, it took a couple of runs through the Bok to get the burnt taste out of it.

Mixed with lemonade it was not bad. It wasn't great but it wasn't bad either. This was early on in my career as a home distiller. I got to do a couple of runs with my stills and learned a bit about how to run them and how to clean up some not so good spirit.

The first run after the stripper was diluted foreshots (bicycle chain cleaner and BBQ starter) because I read somewhere that beer would foul my still. Boiling off a half gallon of water probably would have been more than enough to clean the still.

I'd run it. Even a not so good day stilling is better than a good day doing lots of other things.
