BriskHeat barrel and pail heater

Post by Capt_Teedge »

Looking at ways to heat a new beer keg still. I came across this heater. It says it can go up to 425f. Has anyone had any luck or been unlucky? Appreciate the help.

It would be OK to heat a fermenter. Or a mash, if brewing beer. It won't work for distilling as you need heat control, not temperature control. This is explained extensively in the new distillers reading lounge. Go there and spend some time before spending any money.

If you are willing to pay $188.00 for the Briskheat belt then go for it. You can build a controller and get a hot water element for less than 1/3 the cost. Elements are cheap to replace.
