Hello from Kansas City MO

Post by ff_cbryan »

Hello all, my name is Chace and I am 24 years old.... Completely new to distilling. I am a local firefighter and EMT, it is my life. I'm not married but have a beautiful girlfriend and two black labs. In my spare time I like fishing and hunting as well as working on my 79' ram power wagon. I recently visited Lynchburg tn and it just clicked for me. My best friends dad also is a machinist of 40 years and makes stills part time. I'm so eager to learn and make a couple friends along the way. Looking forward to constructive criticism. Hope to have fun.

Thank you, Chace

Welcome to the forums. Great profession you're in. EMT's have pulled my ass out of the dirt a couple of times and I'm very grateful. Plus 1 on what Bushman said about the reading. It's about the last thing most people want to do, but if you're serious about the hobby, it will be enlightening.

Good luck to you and stay safe.

Welcome in..
As a firefighter, you know how to handle flammable material.
Please take a look at the link in my signature, it provides very usefull information to get started.
Hmm...having a machinist at hand, isn't the worst that could happen..

I have read all of the replies so far and am very surprised already the amount of communication with everything. I will post as requested still building updates. Right now my first step has been reading local laws and permit type info before I start. Thank you to all
