This should work for an immersion chiller right?

A little skeptical with it being so cheap.

Wow that is cheap. I would think that is very thin wall stuff. It would work for a chiller.

Someone mentioned on the "good deals" thread getting this and it being legit.

If you took the plunge at the time, then you are apparently in luck. He got 50' of 3/8" copper.

If you try this now.. they have "fixed the glitch." It's 55+ bucks now like it should be.

I checked it from the same seller just now, when I ordered it was 19.26 with shipping now is 53. something plus shipping. Mine is showing shipment tracking to arrive tomorrow. Looks lake I may have caught the glitch when I ordered.

IMO its a little too small for a worm, but it worked great to make an immersion chiller with  it was legit, brand new 50' roll of 3/8 OD, I picked up a cheap set of washing machine hoses and a couple clamps, I now have a great new copper chiller for all of $25. definately glad I ordered when I did.

Wish mine would have come today, would have really helped with the 36 gallons of rum wash I just got finished putting in the fermenters!

A little crude but certainly got the job done!

Im also lazy so hooked a jiffy mixer ps2 to the drill press, stirring made easy.
Sorry for the sideways one.

S hooks, great that's what I'll use too.
Don't have a press but I do have a drill and a mixer!
Use it yet? How long does it take to bring the temp down?

Make sure you get the stainless S hooks if they are going to touch any liquid.

Edit- make sure the mixer doesnt have a zinc coating or anything dangerous as well. The jiffy mixers are all ss

Doing all grain right now, about to drop corn from 190 to 150 for malts. Ill let ya know how it fairs. I also made my coils a fairly large diameter so I wouldnt contact the mixer. Good ol Homer bucket.

Yesterday I ordered an 80 quart brew pot, I will wait until it arrives to make my coils.
The Homer bucket is a good tip though, I'll bet I can find the diameter of the new pot online and go ahead and make my chiller before it arrives.

I have a feeling our amazon shopping carts look pretty similar haha. I just bought an 82 qt pot from bayou classic.

Just dropped 200 to 150 in 8 minutes!

I'm a database administrator in "real life" so I always think in terms of how I could run a query to produce (or filter for) certain types of people.
No doubt shopping habits would point in a certain direction for many of us here!
