What to do

Post by dan_buddy »

I have no Idea were to post this but what does everybody do with the left overs after a run ? I can't dump it in the drain ?
Is it bad for plants ?
Should I put it on the potato garden ?

The backset? Not good for the garden, it seems to be a pretty good plant killer in the spot I've been dumping it.

I don't have any use for it...so down the drain it goes.
If one has a garden, it's eminent as fertilizer.
Now...with that said, i only pour the backset out, when i do refluxruns for neutral.
If i had to make whiskey or rum, i would keep it for further processing in another run.
Take a look at threads with flavoured, whiskey or rum...it's good reading...and gives you a understanding WHY you want to keep the backset/dunder.

You could try freezing some of it..
If my mind ain't fooling me, there is a thread in here where freezing was mentioned as a option.
I haven't tried it (yet), but it sounds as a good alternative to have a barrel standing with dunder in.
Could be frozen in a 5 L plastic can..

Hot, I use it to kill weeds. Cold, into the compost.
