I have some 60 abv apple spirits that I ran. Tastes great mixed with apple cider, but very sneaky. The question:
After mixing, I would like to know what abv I have. Should I:
A) Use the hydrometer before and after just like I would for a wash;
B) Use the alcoholmeter on the finished product?
I am inclined to go with A), but I usually end up doing things backwards.
How do I test it?

The easiest accurate way is to:Mopar Redneck wrote:I have some 60 abv apple spirits that I ran. Tastes great mixed with apple cider, but very sneaky. The question:

1. Measure ABV of starting product.
2. Measure volume of starting product.
3. Compute the amount of 100% EtOH from the above 2 steps.
4. Mix your drink.
5. Now, from that volume, compute the ABV, based upon the knowledge you obtained in step 3.
