How do I cover up the smell of fermenting wash

Post by kamilavalamp »

I got a 30 gallon drum with 25 gallons of wash in it fermenting and it's stinking up my whole house. I figured that 25 gallons of wash would need more than just my 2 airlocks so I macgyvered some airlocks out of disposable gloves with pinholes in the fingers and taped them over air holes in the lid. I know it's not ideal or recommended but it's worked for me in a pinch with 5 gallon buckets and the smell never penetrated. How can I take care of the smell? My mash still has a week to ferment completely and I don't wanna have to smell it all that time. If I ordered more airlocks they would take too long to get here to be of help. I don't wanna move the thing because it weighs around 250 lbs and outside isn't the proper temperature for it to keep. -Thanks In Advance Guys.
P.S. I am using the word wash because It's sugar, water, yeast, and nutrients. After my cereal brandy fiasco I am trying to use the right terms.
