do not buy a beer wine hydrometer
Proof/Tralle Alcoholmeter is what you need

Both are actually useful. A hydrometer is used for OG and FG of a mash/wash.
An Alcoholmeter comes into play while proofing out of the still and for your ABV cut.
Two totally different and very fragile tools.

Don't forget your wine refractometer.
An ethanol refractometer would be handy too. Better than a parrot.

Why you gotta go telling me about things like that!? Don't you know I'm already broke!? Jeeze now I have something else that I simply can't run without and those things aren't cheap!
SL1 (hopes the sarcasm and the thank you came through)

Not cheap??? You shoulda seen the price thirty years ago.
No, I don't have an alc. refract. Would be a nice toy though. I want to build a digital parrot using the technology. Have the bits, just need to get off my arse and do it.
