20 gal fermenter, added 2gal backset (165f), added 8gal water (165F). Stirred in 10 lbs sugar, no straining bag. Added 10 lbs corn maize and 10 lbs 2 row malted barley. Og came out 1.095. Added 4 more gal water. Og down to 1.067. Cooled to 80f and pitched. TG 1.010(7.7abv).
The maize turned to porage, what a nightmare to strain, I worked for two hrs. To get 10 gal. For my 13 gal cooker. Came out 1 ½ gal low wine (24abv).
How do you old timers strain corn maize to extract the liquid?
What would be the ratio of cracked corn to corn maize, to achive 1.060 to 1.070 sp. In 16 gal. Of liquid, with my bill. Not much info on corn squeezen.
My final product was my best yet, but a lot of work.
