tidings from Toronto

Post by tuyere »

Hey, all. I'm a metalworker in my early 20s who's decided to follow the old family traditions- grandpa on mom's side ran wild blueberry wine through his every fall, grandpa on dad's side blew out the back room of the house decades ago when his jankety pressure-cooker pot still clogged and exploded (the silence of the neighbours was purchased with spirits).
Well, okay, I only wanna follow -some- of the family traditions, preferably the less stupidly-dangerous ones. I've already built myself a 2" Boka coming off a 50l keg and done cleaning + sacrificial birdwatcher wash runs- I'll do a full build post in the proper forum. No problems so far, and doing the sacrificial run "properly" has got me well on my way. I'm looking forward to having more to post about real soon!

Welcome tuyere.

You've come to the best home distiller's site on the web. Worlds of info here. Settle in and read a while. You'll learn the basics and much more. We promote safety here, so helps us accomplish that goal.

It sounds like you've already done some reading to build the Boka on a keg setup. Great start. Keep it up.

Be safe. Be responsible. And be discrete.

Welcome, I also have a 2" BOKA in the big smoke. I am jealous of your boiler though, mine is much smaller :(
Stay safe.

What are you going to make?
