hey all, here's a link to my next parrot. it combined the traditional design and something i read about, and found out for the first time. finaly did my first strip run with my still set up as a pot/stripper. condensate came flowing out at 1L every 20 minutes but at a temp of ~105deg F. trying to cool it in the freezer was a pain so i incorporated a small bubble/vigreu condensor at the input of the parrot. should cool the low wines to a readable temp.
this has been a great project for me. to put theory into practice makes sence of everything i read about. now i'm addicted to my new hobby. thanks for all your kind words about my work. gman

if you can mount valves on a column id suggest a LM or a VM column. if
not just has tall as you can.
that is if you want pure ethanol,to make whiskey or brandy only need a small
column with a liebig.

for pure ethanol without valve could be done with a tall vigreux or packed column with a cold finger/reflux condenser at the top.

for the glass still i can make it convert from LM to VM or pot by having all attachments via screw threds and ground joints. might as well make it versitile. that way the chance of breakage will be reduced greatly. if i get creative i may make a glass shotgun for the top. made one for my 3" copper still. fun project. i'll post pics on another thred.gman

Hi, nice work! what does a unit like this cost? Thanks!
TheArtOfGlass
The catalog price on this piece is close to $600 but being that I am a free lance Glassblower I sell them for quite less.

All I can say is "Wow"!
I'm a jewler and make a livin' worryin' about the details. I can tell you do too.
Yer second parrots beak (pipers bill) is a work of functional art.
I'd love to see one in the irridescent fumed glass with a few unnecessary frills like wavy "petaled" openin's.
Anyhoo... yer a fine craftsman, and if ya don't call yerself an artist, consider it.
