Putting older posts here. Going to try to keep the novice forum pruned about 90 days work. The 'good' old stuff is going to be put into appropriate forums.

Pot Still Shape

Post by RidgeRunner »

Hello everyone

Been looking over the forum for several months finally registered. Been looking over Pint o Shines Pot still plans and was wondering if the shape of the still made a big difference in the product. I have plans for an upright pot still that look pretty easy to fabricate but I like the clasic look of Pint o Shines design. I plan on making the small version from the 8.5x 11 sheet just for the mantle but was wondering if the design affected the final product

Thanks in advance

For small home stills I wouldn't think its a big a deal as in like the Scottish whiskeys distillery's where if they replace a still they will copy it down to the dents in it.Trying to retain a certain flavor.
