Where do you keep your thermostat?

Where do you keep your thermostat? I'm in las Vegas, our temps are crazy out here. During the summer I keep it at 78-80f. 40 or more degrees below ambient. During the winter I keep the thermo at 58-60f. 20-30+ degrees above ambient. I'm not trying to save the earth just my wallet. My house would be warmer if I had a wood fire place, mine is gas only. So what do you guys do?
