Now that I have an alcoholmeter, I've been able to test what % alcohol is coming out of my still.
I'm running a bokakob mini with a 2" dia column that has about 600mm of copper packing (amphora society). It seems to be working ok, happy with boiler power, reflux rate, temps etc.
The wash is sugar that fermented out to about 11.5% alc. (5kg in 25l).
After temp adjusting the reading, the output of the bokakob is 88% on this run (with a 10:1 reflux).
Can I expect this to be higher (possibly in 90s) for the second run?
If not, what is the best way from here with the bokakob to get a purer output that is say 92% or better?
cheers
Stripping run at 88%
