Hi from Nova Scotia

Post by sssmashed »

New to distilling and all of its intricacies. Presently I am looking to gather as much information as possible. I'm looking to start as small and simple as possible. With that in mind I'm looking at either two, 1 gallon carboys or one larger fermentation pail, and and either the Gerber or All Bran wash. I will have to go with an Air Still at this time though, as I do not have access to plumbing in my room.

Cheers

Welcome sssmashed! You've come to the right place to learn how to get the best out of your teeny tiny airstill. Ideally you'd want to go bigger, but if you don't have any plumbing (even a sink would do) then you are going to be severely limited :-(

Read the link in my sig below and be safe right from the start!

Why not run in a section of your house/apartment that does have plumbing? Or run a large bucket with a pond pump to recirculate cooling water?
