If you could have a super power, what would it be and why. Just one, no cop outs like I pick all of them or I pick Superman powers, just one.

Me? I would like to have teleportation power. No more trains planes or automobiles. No travel time or travel expenses. Just poof I'm in Fiji or poof I'm in my favorite fishing spot. Think of all the savings, no car payment no car insurance no gas no registration fees no maintenance costs or traffic tickets. And no TSA.

Damn pf, I was gonna say superman powers . I think the power to control others minds would be fun, make.people do what you want, clean your car, cook dinner, drive me around while I drink lol, shop for me, fetch my drink for me, make them do.funny things to entertain me, the possibilities are endless

Mine would be being able to get really drunk, hold on, I already have that super power!

Mine would be to live everyday worry free and like it was my last.

+1 jedneck, mine would be to able to fly, on my own since I'm so chicken shit to fly commercially. All those planes going down makes me shiver to even approach the airport. Like an eagle

time travel, imagine the possabilities

Lets see....Spiderman...I hate spiders (I squish 'em) and I'm afraid of heights. Superman....I already have troubles with "crap tonight". Batman....too many toys. Captain America...what are his super powers anyway? I have had dreams about self-levitation (flying)....and my shrink says it is the result of an inferiority complex. And as a kid, I always thought invisibility would be neat...to go into the girls' locker room undetected....but that's so juvenile.

Besides, to my kids...I am "super-dad" and that's the only super power I really want.

I don't know if it has a name but, I'd like the ability to replicate objects. I have a dollar, I replicate it into however many dollars I want. Seems awesome to me.

I'd like to hit a pie pan at 2500 yards. That's a super power.

The ability to heal the lame , halt , and blind . Including myself . Seems that when you reach a pinnacle of wisdom and skill the ability to perform is taken from you .

The power to heal.

Imagine walking into all children's hospital and being able to touch a hurting child, say a prayer for him/her and cure them from some rare fatal disease.

That is a tough one. Immortality or everlasting youth sounds great but I can't imagine the pain watching your loved ones grow old and die so that one is out. If I could heal all the illnesses in the world it would overpopulate and kill itself so that is out. Unlimited wealth would only have everyone knocking on your door step so you would never have any peace, so that is out. I think I would like the ability to be able to play any musical instrument to it's maximum ability , music makes me happy.

What would happen when you tried to wipe you ass?

Ok, I thought about it..just one....the ability to control time.

Make a trickshot in pool and miss, back up time and keep doing it until it goes.
Go back to '56 and slap ford before the edsel gets going...and tell them GM is lying about getting out of racing in 57 and actually ...well you can imagine the rest.
Go to 1917 and kill private hitler


Basically go to various periods in time and stop stuff or initiate stuff to alter history to benefit mankind.

Hmm...that's a scary amount of power once I read it...for anybody...

Go ahead in time and get the cure for cancer, find out if there is WW3 and why/who it involves.
Get an alternative power source or limitless power source and bring it back and give it to the world for free. "just mix water and dust from crushed limestone and this machine will put out 4megawatts of power, forever, here's how you make this simple machine too"

I'd like to have the ability to be in a perpetual blissful state of mind as well as having those around me in a like state.

Ok I want to bring a new part to this a drawback side. If you see a drawback to a power say it but have a solution to it as well.

Anger is a tool that one uses to keep their life in balance. The trick would be to make others happy long enough to make your life better

The big thing is would it change history for the better or the worse. If you killed private Hitler. What would the changes be? Maybe someone smarter and more devious would have come to power. Maybe Russia would have taken over Europe. Making one change in history is a huge power to have, really makes a person think.

Hitler was just the face. Himler was a major part as well as others. It was a large movement Hitler was a factor but it still would have happened without him. The atrocities committed hat happened are nothing compared to the ones perpetrated by Mao Zedong killed millions more than the Nazis ever did and it was more recent. It's all political. There is lots of things people don't know about history that would change the way they think. If Americans would actually look into the civil war they might realize that it wasn't about slavery. Or many other things that aren't as we are told. That said time travel might be an eye opener.

I'll stick with being able to view what went before and use it today . Messing with past history could make ripples that could disappear any or all of us . What we do from today forward should not change the past .

Having just one power is tricky. Take time travel for instance, if it didn't involve the power to control your location every time you jumped you'd find yourself floating in empty space watching earth spinning away.
Immortality guarantees sooner or later you get trapped under something or stuck in a hole etc..
Teleporters need to somehow know where there going, and what structure or person in that place already.

Being able to go into the future so I can bet on results I already know the answer to & stop bad shit from happening.
