Tired of stirring? All grain mixer.

Post by Badlands86 »

I got tired of using a drill to stir when corn thickened up, stepped it up a little.

Thats the whole set up, bayou burner / pot, old drill press I got at a garage sale, simple stand, I routed out a spot for a "window" I also have an immersion chiller I made to drop temp after cooking corn/

Thats the "Jiffy Mixer I put in the press. Its a half inch shank and all stainless. I think 36". The drill press is able to raise and lower which helps to keep things moving.

This is with the window opened, works well for adding grains post corn.

Zeroed ferment. Dont mind the broken graduated cylinder.

I run a simple pot still so im not complaining with those numbers. I know its crude but I love it.

Thanks Hound Dog, working on a "cider press" to save me some time as well. (straining mash through nylon bags is getting old) Once everything is dialed I figure i'll do a write up of my whole all grain process.
