That is Badmo in the video.

Ha ha. Just kidding.

Whiskey flavoring/aging schemes are all the rage. These guys will turn any old rot gut into top shelf booze in 24 hours. We should tell Badmo. He is wasting a lot of time. Hahahahah.

But seriously, that is Badmo in that video.

Bwahahahahahahaha.

It DOES look a bit familiar.

Huh.

They're even pretty close to me, in Portland, OR. I should go meet them and say hello. :)

I was tempted to say that they got the idea from my Badmo Barrel post, but after a little sleuthing, I now think it is convergent evolution.

I made my first ones in Sept/Oct of 2015, if I remember correctly. The first spirit I have in a Badmo Barrel was laid up in Nov 2015. I posted the explanation of the Badmo Barrel in Feb 2016.

The "Whiskey Lab" people had an unsuccessful Kickstarter campaign for their barrels which began Dec 2, 2015 and ended in Jan 2016. (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/18 ... n-a-barrel" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow) The current successful campaign is a nearly identical re-submission of their earlier campaign.

Mine are still better. :)

Interesting. Time and Oak, the manufacturer of the whiskey elements sticks, is in Portland, also. IIRC they had a kickstarter campaign, too. Probably a year or two ago. That's quite the coincidence.
