Welcome to HD!
You're starting out rite by studying first before acquiring any equipment..You've learned somewhere already the donkey always goes before the cart.
The Parent site covers the basic theories, fundamentals, techniques for distillation And fermentation ...Learn the Glossary terms also!
Be patient, do the research, and ask ifn you're cornfused about anything, because time and member research and development occasionally will change preferred ways, always for the betterment of home distilling ..
Good Luck, post your progress .

Welcome Roscoe.
This is the BEST home distilling site in the WORLD. Members here from all over the world with decades of experience and encyclopedias of knowledge. I guarantee that just about any question you can think of has been asked and answered many times in these forums. Learn to search and you'll quickly come up through the ranks.
As many have suggested, Cranky's Spoon Feed thread is the best place to start your journey. There's a link to it in my signature line. And there's a few other great links there too. Follow them and have fun.
Be safe. Be responsible. And be discrete.
