Here's mine. No flies on this rig. With the draft control as well as the needle valve I suspect it could be used for melting scrap iron or turn it down to make a cup of morning tea.newbie1982 wrote:i have a keg and it measure 15in in diameter and i can't seem to find a burner more then 14 inches?
Buy it ! Very versatile.

I have this whole setup that I bought at a garage sale. You don't need everything but the burner is big. Also the turkey basket works great for pressing apples for Brandy.

Snackson, Had one of those.Gave it to a friend. It will sho nuff boil water but adjusting the heat during a run to control product flow was a little iffy at best .Installing an inline needle valve would be a major step up but I didn't think of that at the time.
Oh well !!!

I picked one up here off Craigslist for $40 as a backup if I ever needed to run during power outage. Thanks for the tip.FreeMountainHermit wrote:Snackson, Had one of those.Gave it to a friend. I cut the center out of a 15" wheel rim and sawed through the sides at intervals to allow for a friction fit on my tapered keg . Also gave me a place to mount a heat shield around the keg . Whole thing dismounts if I want the burner for other things .
If you ain't the lead dog in the team , the scenery never changes . Ga Flatwoods made my avatar and I want to thank him for that .

Man this thing is whisper quiet, burns clean and makes some mean fried chikken !

Like I said above. Versatile.
Newbie,Pay attention to what TB said about the heat shield. They work ! Much discussed around these parts years ago but not so much now as going to electric is very popular these days.

Once you find a burner, here's a way to mount it if you haven't already seen this. Truckinbutch mentioned this in above post.
