So I thought about building a thumper out of a 5 gallon ss stock pot... I planned on making a copper cap and using flour paste to seal the cap and pot..
My current setup up is a 9 gallon all cooper still... I have a two inch piece of copper pipe running about 24" off the top of my boiler... there's a 2 x 1/2 tee off the top then it's basically a Liebig from there... runs pretty as is
My thought was to add some copper mesh in the column big wasn't sure how much is a enough I want to make whiskey not vodka
Then my next question is can I use 3/8 copper coil as a worm maybe even make two worm to make it a little faster or should I go with 1/2 or even 3/4 tubing
And should I upgrade the tee coming off the 2". Column
Always what's a better way to seal up joint than flour paste
Thanks in advance
