Heat exchanger calculation

Hey I'm wondering how to do calculations for a heat exchanger. (Liebig)
I'd love to learn how to do them myself (I like doing math)

I'm looking at making a heat exchanger heated by water at about 99C and and would be heating a ~10% wash.

_____________________________
Water temperature: 99c
Water flow rate: 131ml/min
Wash input temperature: ~ 15c
Wash alcohol content: ~ 10% ABV
Wash flow rate 160ml/min
_____________________________

Liebig heat exchanger 3/4" over 1/2" with the wash inside the 1/2"
I'd like to figure out
Roughly what the wash temp would be if I used a 36" vs a 72" heat exchanger.

Thanks for the help!!

Sounds like you want to make a wash preheater :?:

That's the plan :)

Sorry I don't have the math you need. If you find it, post a link? It'd be fun to see.

If I were making a wash-preheating heat exchanger, I would do a counterflow coil. It'd be pretty inexpensive, use standard widely available materials and parts, and with a long enough coil you can be certain that the wash exit temp will equal the water input temp at any rate you like.

Figure out how to use gravity and rising vapor to getter done.
Search "wine preheater"
