New to distillation, or simply new to the HD forums.

I have been distilling, first with a friend and now on my own as well, for a couple of years now. I have made a successful apple/pear slivovitz kinda drink, a brandy "oaked" on beachwood, a graanjenever (dutch gin) and several liquors. I have just moved to a larger home with a garage, so my distilling hobby gets much more attention now. I am now working on making "fries roggebrood" (rye bread) whiskey and trying to make neutral alcohol.
I have been reading a lot on homedistillers, and got a lot of inspiration and theory from there.
I love this hobby because it connects a lot of my interests: building things, electronics (I have an electric still), chemistry and cooking (flavours). Oh: and I drink
I thought it was time to participate a bit more, and also to get a bit more direct interaction with kindred spirits!

Sounds like you're well on your way, so welcome to HD.
Understandable, because Ollanda, or Holland, is just a small part of a country that in English is called the Netherlands.
In German the country is called die Niederlände, in French Pays Bas, in Finnish Alankomaat, in Italian Paesi Bassi, in Spanish Países Bajos etc.. But the small part, nowadays consisting of 2 provinces, is always called Holland.
