Lm (boka) column with dephlegmator

what are the benefits if any in building an LM (boka) reflux column with a dephlegmator on the base of the column

No benefit. It would be a failed design. Why do you have this idea? Where did you read about?

Agree .
It would be as useless as that old design getting around with reflux inducing cross tubes at the top and bottom of a packed section .

Do you mean a dephlegmator at the bottom of the column with a PC at the top of the column, Dirty ?
I can kind of see where you might be heading with this.......will it work ???????
Would it be worth the effort ??..I doubt it, but who knows ..nothing ventured nothing gained.

Why would you want a deflag, or any kind of cooling, at the bottom of a column?
