I am new to distillation. I have read articles, posts, sites, books, and there is one question that keeps nagging me, because it is never consistent!
My question is this...Once you cover your mash and set the airlock to begin the fermentation process, how often do you stir your mash?
I have read "every two days", "every day", "every few days give it a good stir" and "every other day"...what say you?
So far, I give my grain mash a good stir every other day, and I've had very nice results.
However, I wonder if leaving the "lees" alone would produce even better results?
Thank you in advance for giving me your opinion.
