Double Distilling

I have about 5 gal of 120 proof (it was diluted down from around 170) from a turbo wash run and want to run it again to see if it will do anything for it or not. Never double distilled so is it as easy as pouring it in and running or do i have to cut it down even more..Will be refluxing on a 16 gal Mi Hi 3'' column with 2 2000 watt heaters.. since only 5 gal i will use only one heater that is controlled with a Vari amp controller...Sorry but the thought of putting tamed down rocket fuel in there and running scares me a little..Any guidance is appreciated..TIA

Dilute it down to 80 proof (40% ABV ) then re run it . Collect in small jars and do proper cuts on it and you will be supprised
Dilluting down to 30% will clean it up even more .

Did somewhat the same thing, re-ran a bunch of previous spirits down to 60% then cut down from there, much better that time around. Good stuff
