I set 100l of grain wash that yielded 30l of 40% wash when I stripped it the other day. My boiler takes 70l to the rim, and requires 15l to cover the heating element comfortably. Until now I have diluted my low wines with 15l of water to cover the element before my spirit run or as with rums, diluted the low wines with 15l of freshly fermented molasses wash to get the required volume.
But with this grain wash I am having second thoughts. I do lose quite a lot of taste when diluting. So what would you guys do in my situation?
A) Dilute my 30l of 40% low wines with 15l of water and run my spirit run as normal.
- I am afraid this will lose to much of the marvellous grain flavours
B) Dilute my 30l of 40% low wines with 15l of freshly made grain wash and run the spirit run like a rum.
- I am afraid this will give me to much flavour and side effects
C) Make another batch of low wines for a total of 50-60l and run the longest spirit run in history.
- This will take 12 hours to run and make way to much spirit. I'll have to buy more bottles, more jars, more everything. To much.

Dilluting before spirit run
Always impatient. But learning.
