Drain Valve Copper Pot Still

Post by JBAR9 »

So, just to be clear from everything I have read/been reading: Onto an all copper boiler, I can braze on a copper fitting, wrap with some ptfe tape, and attach a lead free (less than 0.25%) brass ball valve as a drainage port for my new still build? No problems with the little bit of potential lead in the ball valve, no problems with ptfe tape at high boiling heats, and no problems with any gaskets inside the ball valve? That's what I've gathered as info so far and wanted to hear from others that this is not an issue since it will not be in the vapor path. Any help or other ideas would be appreciated. I'm excited to do a new build and attempting to figure out most before embarking...
